KUWAIT: The Cabinet announced Tuesday that the Eid Al-Adha and Arafat Day holiday for all ministries, government bodies, public authorities and institutions will run from Tuesday, May 26, through Sunday, May 31, 2026. The decision was issued during the Cabinet meeting chaired by HH the Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmad Al-Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah.
The Cabinet said Tuesday through Friday - May 26, 27, 28 and 29 - will be official public holidays, while Saturday and Sunday, May 30 and 31, will be regular weekend rest days. Official work will resume on Monday, June 1, 2026. It noted that entities with special operational requirements will determine their holiday schedules in accordance with the public interest.
On the occasion, the Cabinet extended congratulations and blessings to HH the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, HH the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah and to citizens and residents, praying for continued goodness and blessings for the Arab and Islamic nations.
